Specifications

Controls and Operation

Handle Controls: START/STOP button, Bail lever (safety handle), Single-lever height adjuster.

Starting:

  1. Insert Safety Key.
  2. Depress Bail lever against handle.
  3. Press and hold START button. Release button once motor runs.

Stopping: Release Bail lever. Motor stops. Remove Safety Key.

Operation Tips: Mow in straight, overlapping passes. For best results, mow when grass is dry. Do not overload motor in tall/wet grass.

Cutting Height Adjustment

Use single lever on each wheel to adjust all four wheels simultaneously.

  1. Pull lever outward to disengage.
  2. Move lever to desired height setting (1-7).
  3. Release lever to lock into position.
  4. Check that all wheels are at same height.

Tip: Adjust height before mowing. A higher setting is better for tall grass.

3-in-1 Function Setup

Configure for mulching, bagging, or side discharge.

  1. Mulching: Install mulching plug (blocks discharge chute). Grass is cut finely and returned to lawn.
  2. Bagging: Attach grass bag to rear hooks. Ensure mulching plug is removed.
  3. Side Discharge: Remove mulching plug and grass bag. Attach discharge chute to side port (if included).

WARNING! Always have either the bag, mulching plug, or discharge chute properly installed. Never operate without one of these in place.

Battery Use & Charging

Use only DeWalt 20V MAX or 60V MAX FLEXVOLT batteries.

  1. Charging: Use DeWalt charger (sold separately). Insert battery into charger. LED indicates status.
  2. Installation: Insert batteries into mower ports until they click. Ensure they are fully seated.
  3. Runtime: Varies based on grass condition, height, and battery capacity. Using two batteries extends runtime.

CAUTION! Do not use damaged batteries. Charge in a dry location away from children. Store batteries away from metal objects.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Always remove Safety Key and batteries before maintenance.

  1. Blade Care: Check blade for damage or dullness regularly. Sharpen or replace as needed.
  2. Deck Cleaning: Tip mower on its side (air filter side up). Use brush or cloth to remove grass clippings.
  3. Wheel & Handle: Check for loose bolts or nuts. Tighten if necessary.
  4. Battery Contacts: Keep clean and dry.

CAUTION! The blade is sharp. Wear heavy gloves when handling. Ensure mower is secure and cannot fall when tipped.

Storage

Store in a dry, locked place out of reach of children.

  1. Remove and store batteries separately in a cool, dry place.
  2. Clean mower thoroughly (see Maintenance).
  3. Fold handle: Loosen knobs, fold handle down toward deck.
  4. Store mower on a level surface.

Tip: For long-term storage, fully charge batteries before storing.
