Assembly & Setup

Unpack and inspect all parts. Assemble on a flat, clear surface.

  1. Attach the Handle: Align lower handle sections with deck brackets, secure with provided bolts and wrench.
  2. Install Upper Handle: Attach to lower handle, secure knobs.
  3. Install Grass Bag: Hook bag onto rear deck hooks.
  4. Install Mulching Plug (if mulching): Insert into rear discharge chute.
  5. Insert Batteries: Push two fully charged 20V MAX batteries into ports until they click.
  6. Insert Safety Key: Place into slot near start button.

WARNING! Ensure mower is powered OFF and batteries are removed during assembly. Tighten all fasteners securely.

First-Time Operation

Before first mow, fully charge both batteries. Adjust cutting height.

  1. Check Area: Clear lawn of debris, stones, and toys.
  2. Adjust Height: Pull lever outward and adjust to desired setting (start higher for first cut).
  3. Power On: Insert Safety Key. Press and hold Start Button. Motor will engage.
  4. Begin Mowing: Push mower forward at a steady pace. Overlap passes slightly.
  5. To Stop: Release Start Button. Remove Safety Key for complete safety.

CAUTION! Always wear sturdy footwear and eye protection. Do not mow wet grass.

Cutting & Operation Modes

  2. Bagging: Attach grass bag. Collects clippings for a clean finish; empty when bag is ~80% full.
  3. Side Discharge: Attach discharge chute. Ejects clippings to the side for longer/wet grass.

Tip: For best mulching, mow frequently and avoid cutting more than 1/3 of grass height at once.

Battery & Charging

Uses two DeWalt 20V MAX Lithium-Ion batteries.

  1. Charging: Remove batteries, insert into DeWalt charger. LED indicates status (red=charging, green=fully charged).
  2. Runtime: Varies based on grass height, thickness, and mode. Two 5.0Ah batteries provide extended runtime.
  3. Storage: Store batteries in a cool, dry place away from metal objects. Charge fully before long-term storage.
  4. Fuel Gauge: Press button on battery to check charge level (LED indicators).
