Controls and Operation

Control Panel located on upper handle. Key Controls: START/STOP lever (deadman switch), Battery Fuel Gauges, LED Light Button.

Starting: Insert safety key. Press and hold the START/STOP lever against the handle. The mower will start when the lever is fully engaged.

Stopping: Release the START/STOP lever. The blade will stop within 3 seconds. Remove safety key for storage.

Operation Tips: Mow at a steady walking pace. Overlap passes slightly for even cut. Use headlights in low light.

Cutting Height Adjustment

Use the single lever on each wheel to adjust height simultaneously.

  1. Locate the adjustment lever next to each wheel.
  2. Pull lever outward to disengage from notch.
  3. Move lever to desired height setting (1.5, 2, 2.5, 3, 3.5, 4 inches).
  4. Release lever to lock into notch. Ensure all four levers are set to the same position.

Tip: For healthier grass, never cut more than 1/3 of the grass blade length at one time.

Mulching & Bagging

The mower operates in two modes. Conversion takes less than a minute.

Mulching Mode:

  1. Ensure grass bag is removed.
  2. Install the mulch plug into the rear discharge chute. It should snap securely into place.
  3. Mulching cuts clippings finely and returns them to the lawn as fertilizer.

Bagging Mode:

  1. Remove the mulch plug.
  2. Attach the grass bag frame to the rear mounts. Hang the fabric bag on the frame.
  3. Empty bag frequently to maintain airflow and cutting performance.

Battery Care & Charging

Use only DeWalt FLEXVOLT 60V/20V MAX batteries and charger.

  1. Charging: Insert battery into charger. Charger light will indicate status (red=charging, green=complete).
  2. Storage: Store batteries in a cool, dry place away from metal objects. For long-term storage, charge to 40-60%.
  3. Runtime: With two 10.0Ah batteries, expect up to 60 minutes of runtime on a typical lawn (varies with grass conditions).
  4. Fuel Gauges: Press button on battery to see charge level (LED indicators).

WARNING! Do not expose batteries to fire or extreme heat. Do not puncture.

Maintenance & Storage

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity.

CAUTION! Always disconnect batteries before performing any maintenance.
