Mowing Operations

For optimal cutting performance and lawn health.

  1. Plan Your Path: Mow in straight, overlapping passes. Change direction periodically.
  2. Adjust Speed: Use variable drive control to match your walking pace and grass thickness.
  3. Cutting Height: Never remove more than 1/3 of grass blade length in a single mow.
  4. Mulching: Use mulch plug for nutrient recycling. Ensure grass is dry and not too tall.
  5. Bagging: Attach bag for clippings collection. Empty when bag is 2/3 full.
  6. Slopes: Mow across slopes, not up and down. Use caution on inclines over 15 degrees.
  7. Shut Down: Release start lever, remove safety key, and remove battery.

WARNING! Always shut off mower and remove battery before clearing blockages, adjusting height, or performing any maintenance.

Maintenance & Storage

Regular maintenance ensures longevity and performance.

After Each Use: Clean underside of deck (remove battery first). Check for loose parts. Wipe down handle.

Blade Care: Inspect blade regularly for damage or dullness. Sharpen or replace as needed (remove battery, disconnect spark plug wire if applicable). Balance blade after sharpening.

End of Season: Thoroughly clean mower. Apply light oil to metal parts to prevent rust. Store in a dry, covered area. Remove battery and store separately at 40-50% charge.

CAUTION! Always disconnect power source before any maintenance. Never touch blade with hands; use a block of wood to secure it.
