Assembly & Setup

Unpack all parts. Assembly requires basic tools (included).

  1. Attach the lower handle: Secure to deck with provided bolts and wrench.
  2. Attach the upper handle: Connect to lower handle, secure knobs.
  3. Install the collection bag: Attach bag frame to rear brackets, hang bag.
  4. Install batteries: Insert both FLEXVOLT ADVANTAGE batteries into ports.
  5. Attach mulching plug (if desired): Insert into rear discharge chute.
  6. Check wheel height: Ensure all wheels are at same setting.

WARNING! Do not install batteries until assembly is complete. Ensure all bolts are tight.

First-Time Operation

Before first mow, fully charge both batteries.

  1. Insert Safety Key: Place key into slot near handle.
  2. Start the mower: Press and hold safety lever on handle, then press start button.
  3. Adjust cutting height: Use single lever to desired setting.
  4. Engage drive (if equipped): Press drive control lever to self-propel.
  5. For bagging: Ensure mulching plug is removed and bag is attached.
  6. For mulching: Install mulching plug securely.

Cutting Height Adjustment

Single lever adjusts all four wheels simultaneously.

  1. Stop mower and ensure blade is not spinning.
  2. Pull height adjustment lever outward.
  3. Move lever to desired position (1-6, corresponding to 1.5" to 4").
  4. Release lever to lock into place.
  5. Check that all wheels are at the same height.

Tip: For a healthier lawn, never cut more than 1/3 of grass height at one time.

Mulching & Bagging

Switch between mulching and bagging by installing or removing the mulching plug.

  1. Mulching: Insert mulching plug fully into the rear discharge chute. Cuttings are recycled into the lawn as nutrient-rich clippings.
  2. Bagging: Remove mulching plug. Attach collection bag frame and bag to rear brackets. Empty bag when full indicator is raised.

WARNING! Always stop mower and remove key before changing cutting mode. Ensure plug or bag is securely attached.

Battery Care & Charging

Use only DeWalt FLEXVOLT ADVANTAGE 56V batteries and DCB115 charger.

  1. Charging: Insert battery into charger. LED will indicate charging progress.
  2. Storage: Store batteries in a cool, dry place away from metal objects.
  3. Runtime: Using two 7.5Ah batteries provides extended runtime. Monitor battery indicators.
  4. Temperature: Charge between 40°F and 105°F (4°C and 40°C).

CAUTION! Do not charge damaged batteries. Do not expose batteries to water or fire.
