Safety Information

Read all instructions before assembly and operation. Failure to follow warnings can cause serious injury.

  2. Preparation: Clear mowing area of sticks, stones, wire, and other objects. Do not mow wet grass.
  3. Operation: Always push mower; never pull. Do not mow on steep slopes. Disengage blade and remove battery before clearing blockages or crossing non-grass surfaces.
  4. Electrical Safety: Use only DeWalt 56V MAX batteries and charger. Do not expose to water or fire.

WARNING! The blade is sharp and can cause severe injury. Keep hands and feet away from the cutting deck at all times.

Controls and Operation

Main Controls: Located on the upper handle.

Safety Key/Start Button: Insert safety key into slot. Press and hold the safety lever on the handle, then press the green START button to engage the blade. Release the lever to stop the blade.

Battery Indicator: LEDs on battery show charge level (Green = Full, Red = Low).

Height Adjustment Lever: Single lever adjusts all four wheels simultaneously. Move lever to desired position (1-7).

Bag Full Indicator: Flap on grass bag may lift when bag is nearing capacity.

Cutting Height Adjustment

  1. Ensure mower is off and blade is stopped.
  2. Locate the single height adjustment lever near the wheels.
  3. Pull the lever outward and move it to the desired numbered position (1 = lowest cut, 7 = highest cut).
  4. Release the lever to lock in place.
  5. Check that all wheels are at the same height.

Tip: For a healthier lawn, never cut more than 1/3 of the grass blade length at one time.

Mulching & Bagging

Mulching Setup: Install the mulching plug into the rear discharge chute. The mower will cut clippings finely and return them to the lawn as nutrient-rich mulch. Best for dry grass.

Bagging Setup: Remove the mulching plug. Ensure the grass bag is properly attached to collect clippings. Empty bag frequently to maintain airflow and cutting performance.

Side Discharge (Optional): An optional side discharge chute kit (sold separately) can be installed for discharging clippings to the side.

Battery Care & Charging

Use only the DeWalt DCB115 or approved charger.

  1. Charging: Insert battery into charger. Charger LED will flash red/green, then turn solid green when complete.
  2. Storage: Store batteries in a cool, dry place away from metal objects. For long-term storage, charge to 40-60% capacity.
  3. Runtime: Two 10.0Ah batteries provide up to 60 minutes of runtime under typical conditions. Runtime varies with grass height, density, and moisture.
  4. Temperature: Charge between 40°F and 105°F (4°C - 40°C). Do not charge a hot battery.

WARNING! Do not attempt to disassemble the battery. Dispose of according to local regulations.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Always remove batteries before performing any maintenance.

  1. After Each Use: Clean grass clippings from under the deck using a brush or hose. Allow to dry completely.
  2. Blade Care: Periodically check blade for sharpness and damage. A dull blade tears grass. Replace bent or damaged blades immediately. Use a blade balancer after sharpening.
  3. Wheels & Bearings: Check for free movement. Lubricate wheel axles if necessary.
  4. Hardware: Periodically check and tighten all bolts, nuts, and screws.

CAUTION! The blade is extremely sharp. Wear heavy gloves when handling.

Storage

  1. Clean the mower thoroughly as described above.
  2. Remove batteries and store separately in a cool, dry place.
  3. Fold the handles: Loosen the knobs, fold the upper handle down towards the deck.
  4. Store in a dry, covered area, protected from the elements.
  5. Do not store with fuel-powered equipment.
